A quick glimpse at my dinner outfit from last night before I’m telling you what we were up to:

First we decided to go to the Guggenheim because we weren’t hungry yet and the weather was to bad to go and sit in Central Park. To me the Guggenheim felt a bit like a labyrinth and the exhibitions just somehow didn’t flash me. Having seen the Met, the Guggenheim, in my amateur opinion, just isn’t worth a visit.
After this visit we went to the Empire Hotel rooftop as it not only is around the corner from where I’m staying but also we wanted to see it because, as the Gossip Girl fans under you may know, it’s the Hotel that Chuck owns in the series. I didn’t know what I expected but I was quite disappointed! The atmosphere wasn’t really special (ok it rained…) and the air conditioner made the room just simply to cold which prevented us from enjoying our (overpriced) cocktail.
Finally, after these two disappointments, we went to dinner just next to the Empire Hotel at Clarke’s, enjoyed another cocktail and delicious food! It was a great ending to a not so special day in New York city.
